Meet the Team: Jordan, Jane, Brooke & Starce
Rooted in South Auckland and united by a shared purpose, we are a team driven by creativity, culture, and community impact. Each of us brings a unique story, skillset, and passion to the table—working together to inspire the next generation to dream big and lead with confidence.
Brooke & Starce – (The Oneill Twins)
With over two decades in the entertainment industry, Brooke and Starce—also known as The Oneill Twins—are renowned performers, creatives, and community leaders. From dancing for global icons like Jennifer Lopez to opening for artists such as Stan Walker, Lloyd, and Ciara, their journey through music and dance has taken them around the world.
Born and raised in Manurewa, Brooke and Starce are deeply committed to giving back to their community. Through workshops, international programs, and hands-on mentorship, they create safe, empowering spaces where young people can discover their potential, build confidence, and lead with purpose.
Brooke oversees the operations of our Kura Kaupapa Māori program and supports Starce as kaiāwhina, while Starce leads the teaching this year. Together, they are pouring into and celebrating all the incredible tamariki and rangatahi taking part in our programs this year.
Jordan & Jane
Jordan & Jane – Founders of Express Yourself Married for over 11 years and raising three beautiful kids together, Jordan and Jane are the powerhouse duo behind Express Yourself. This kaupapa was born from a shared passion for community, creativity, and creating real change — especially for rangatahi growing up in underserved areas like South Auckland.
Inspired by Jordan’s early journey in hip hop dance and the opportunities it opened up around the world, the pair saw firsthand how transformative the arts can be — but also how hard it was to access those opportunities if you came from the hood. Express Yourself was created to flip that script.
Together, they’ve made it their mission to make dance not just accessible, but impactful — highlighting how movement can improve mental health, boost confidence, create career pathways, and build up whole whānau. Their shared vision is simple: to use dance as a tool for connection, expression, and positive change — starting in South Auckland, but reaching far beyond.
