Intermediate School
Imitate Me Dance Community’s hip-hop program for intermediate school students builds on their prior exposure to dance and offers a more structured and age-appropriate exploration of hip-hop culture and dance techniques. It encourages creativity, teamwork, physical fitness, improved spatial awareness, and an appreciation for the cultural roots of hip-hop while providing opportunities for performance and personal growth.
The choreographed routines as part of IMDC’s Express Yourself program start with basic hip-hop dance moves, such as stomps, jabs, chest pops, jumps, and arm swings. As students develop their dance skills, the routines become more intricate. Our dance instructors keep the program enjoyable for the students, encouraging and fostering a love for dance, music, teamwork, and creativity.
