IMDC’s Express Yourself program in the community harnesses the power of hip-hop dance to engage, empower, and uplift communities. It provides a platform for creativity, self-expression, and personal growth while addressing social and cultural challenges in a positive and inclusive manner. The team at IMDC is experienced in creating and delivering skill and age-appropriate choreography and routines. It can be tailored for abilities from beginners to advanced or pre-schoolers to adults. It could be a regular weekly program for members of the community or school holiday programs for a few weeks or even fun sessions for pre-schoolers.
Express Yourself in the community focuses on engaging young people, particularly those who may be at risk or facing social and economic challenges. It provides them with an alternative and positive outlet for self-expression and personal growth. The program fosters a sense of community and unity among participants, emphasising the importance of support networks and collaboration.
We believe that a successful hip-hop program provides the participants with an alternative and positive outlet for self-expression and personal growth. It aims to produce positive outcomes in the community, which can result in improved community cohesion, reduced crime rates, increased educational attainment, and greater economic opportunities for participants.
